One of the most surprising innovations that I came across at the PGA Merchandise Show Demo Day was theEZee Golf Power Club. If you or someone that you know, feels that they no longer have the physical ability or strength yet still want to participate in the game, then this is the club for you.
It’s based on a simple concept really. Just load, aim and fire! Now, you still have to do a lot of the work to get the shot where you want it to be. In other words, put on your golfing hat and think course management. How far do you want to drive the ball? Where are the bunkers located? What’s the best angle and loft to approach the hole? All of the critical thought process is required with this club, you just are getting a little help launching the ball.
Their mission statement is ‘Making the golfing experience accessible and inclusive to everyone!’ and they mean everyone. In a wheelchair? Go play a round. Have trouble with your balance? Go play a round. Physically challenged in any way? Might as well play some golf. Basically, if you can get to the course there’s a really good chance that this club will help you enjoy the greatest game ever played.
I had the pleasure to speak with co-founder and CMO Steve Fluke and I have got to say that he really is passionate about helping everyone get into the game. Steve showed me how easy it was to set and use the power club. I must admit that it was quite a sensation to ‘pull the trigger’ and watch the ball fly 200 yards to the target. Well, almost to the target. Remember that little learning curve I mentioned before?
So, physical challenges or just being a golfer of a certain age, this club will keep you in the game. Check out their website at www.ezeegolf.com and see what this club can do for you, someone that you know or even be a hero and sponsor a wounded warrior via the website!
